Arlington Police searching for suspects in residential burglary

ARLINGTON — Arlington Police are requesting the public's help to identify and apprehend three suspects in a recent residential burglary. On Friday, May 18, at approximately 9:30 a.m., Arlington Police responded to a reported residential burglary in the 4900 block of 199th Street NE that was interrupted by the resident.

On Friday, May 18, at approximately 9:30 a.m., Arlington Police responded to a reported residential burglary in the 4900 block of 199th Street NE that was interrupted by the resident.

The resident was returning from taking her child to school when she observed three teenage boys exiting her backyard through a gate. The suspects ducked into some bushes near the residence in an attempt to hide when the resident confronted them. The three teens subsequently walked away from the scene. When the resident entered her home she discovered that belongings had been stolen including electronic equipment and jewelry. It is believed that the suspects entered from an unlocked window.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, Marysville Police Department and Lynnwood Police Department K-9 Unit all responded to assist Arlington Police in the search for the three suspects. The suspects were not located in the search. A neighbor later reported to officers that they had observed a suspicious vehicle that was occupied by three subjects just prior to the burglary. The vehicle was described as a silver Toyota-type hatchback.

Arlington Police were able to develop a sketch of one the suspects. He is described as a Hispanic or dark-skinned male, approximately 16-18 years of age, with short, spiky black hair and wearing a large diamond earring in one of his ears. He was also wearing a big black coat and baggy jeans. The second suspect was described as white and also wearing a big coat.  The third suspect was white, wearing jeans and a light-colored coat. All three suspects were wearing backpacks.
