ARLINGTON – Arlington police are seeking the identities of five suspects in a string of tire slashing incidents that caused over $10,000 in damage to at least 10 vehicles.

Police began receiving 911 calls shortly after midnight on Sept. 20.

Four suspects damaged at least 10 vehicles parked between the 200 block of N. Macleod Avenue and the 700 block of E. 5th St. near Terrace Park.

The suspects are shown in photos taken from video surveillance downtown.

The young men are between 16 and 20 years of age. Two were wearing white shirts; the other three were wearing dark shirts.

The suspects fled on foot and are suspected to be residents in the area.

Because the damage exceeded the threshold for felony malicious mischief, the city contacted the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office for deployment of a K9 search, which was unsuccessful.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Arlington police tip line at 360-403-3420.
