Arlington woman’s death under investigation after house fire Sept. 14

ARLINGTON — The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit is investigating the death of a woman found at a house fire in the 16000 block of Jim Creek Road on the evening of Saturday, Sept. 14. The fire was reported at approximately 9 p.m. by a neighbor, and was responded to by members of Arlington Heights Fire District 21.

ARLINGTON — The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit is investigating the death of a woman found at a house fire in the 16000 block of Jim Creek Road on the evening of Saturday, Sept. 14. The fire was reported at approximately 9 p.m. by a neighbor, and was responded to by members of Arlington Heights Fire District 21.

At the scene, a neighbor told fire personnel that they were concerned that one of the residents was still inside the home. Early on the morning of Sunday, Sept. 15, detectives and fire personnel searched the house and discovered the body of a woman inside the structure.

Identification of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of her death, are still pending from the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office. The circumstances leading to the victim’s death are also still under investigation.
