Construction date set for Arlington Walmart

Construction is set to begin on a new Walmart on Monday, Jan. 25, according to city officials. Kristin Banfield, city of Arlington spokeswoman, confirmed Wednesday, Jan. 20, that crews will begin construction at the site, located on 172nd Street NE (SR 531).

Kristin Banfield, city of Arlington spokeswoman, confirmed Wednesday, Jan. 20, that crews will begin construction at the site, located on 172nd Street NE (SR 531).

Banfield said in an e-mail that the estimated completion date for the Walmart is Sept. 20.

She said the store will be open by the end of October.
