Copter pilot injured in crash near Larch Lake

ARLINGTON – The pilot of a helicopter was injured after it crashed July 22 near Larch Lake north of Highway 530 in Skagit County.

ARLINGTON – The pilot of a helicopter was injured after it crashed July 22 near Larch Lake north of Highway 530 in Skagit County.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about the crash around 11:45 a.m.

The pilot was rescued from the crash site by crew onboard SnoHAWK 10, the sheriff’s office helicopter, and flown to a local hospital.

The extent of the pilot’s injuries is unknown. No one else was believed to be in the aircraft.

The Skagit County Sheriff’s Office will handle the investigation in collaboration with the Federal Aviation Administration.
