BRYANT — The North County Firefighters Association is yet again inviting the community to its pancake breakfast, which kicks off this year on Sunday, April 27.

Although the firefighters organize the annual event as a fundraiser, they also enjoy affording the community an opportunity to share some breakfast together at Bryant Fire Station 90, with all of the fire engines, medical units and aid cars on display.

The public is welcome to climb onto the vehicles and ask any questions they like, since their taxes paid for both the station and its equipment.

The proceeds from the breakfast likewise go to benefit firefighter training, the fire explorer program, community outreach efforts and more.

In addition to the breakfast, the firefighters make a point of providing the public with information about home safety, storm preparedness and smoke detectors.

Visitors can tour the trucks and have their kids play on a bouncy house.

The pancake breakfast runs from 6-11 a.m. on Sunday, April 27, at Bryant Fire Station 90, located at 3002 252nd St. NE.

Donations will be accepted for plates of pancakes, ham, eggs, and biscuits and gravy, and cups of milk, juice and coffee.
