Lakewood wrestlers shine; girls basketball wins and boys lose (slide show)

LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood wrestling team put away Archbishop Murphy 30-20 Jan. 13. Lakewood’s winners were: 138—Kevin Stokes; 171—Joaquin Anaya; 152—Austin Hudson; and 160—Camden Bach.

LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood wrestling team put away Archbishop Murphy 30-20 Jan. 13. Lakewood’s winners were: 138—Kevin Stokes; 171—Joaquin Anaya; 152—Austin Hudson; and 160—Camden Bach.

DUVALL — The Lakewood boys basketball team lost to Cedarcrest 68-55 Jan. 12. Matthew Keen led Lakewood with 14 points and teammate Kaleb Duitsman added 12. Lakewood’s record fell to 8-4. They play at Cedar Park Christian (Bothell) Jan. 19 at 7 p.m.

DUVAL — Natalie Neer of the Lakewood girls basketball team scored 21 points to take the Cougars to a win over Cedarcrest 62-41 Jan. 12. Lakewood’s record improved to 8-4. They play at Cedar Park Christian (Bothell) Jan. 19 at 7 p.m.
