Law enforcement agencies team up for speed enforcement patrols in Snohomish County

Between July 15 and Aug. 7 extra law enforcement patrols were out in search of speeding drivers. During the patrols in Snohomish County, 1,189 speeding tickets were written, in addition to four felony and seven misdemeanor drug arrests, four DUIs, 36 aggressive driving violations, 33 cell phone/text citations, 87 seat belt tickets, as well as 69 uninsured motorist and 17 suspended/revoked license violations.

SNOHOMISH COUNTY — Between July 15 and Aug. 7 extra law enforcement patrols were out in search of speeding drivers.

During the patrols in Snohomish County, 1,189 speeding tickets were written, in addition to four felony and seven misdemeanor drug arrests, four DUIs, 36 aggressive driving violations, 33 cell phone/text citations, 87 seat belt tickets, as well as 69 uninsured motorist and 17 suspended/revoked license violations.

Participating in these extra patrols were the Arlington, Edmonds, Everett, Granite Falls, Lake Stevens, Lynnwood, Mukilteo, Monroe and Tulalip police departments, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office and the Washington State Patrol.

According to an online survey conducted during these patrols, of the eight multiple choice questions asked, the majority of respondents answered six of the questions correctly. The final question was open ended. See the results below.
