DARRINGTON – A man wearing a mask and armed with a rifle allegedly kicked in the front door of his neighbor’s home, confronted the occupants and shot their TV.

No one is in custody, a sheriff’s report today says.

Major Crimes Unit detectives responded and a search was conducted. Detectives believe they have identified the suspect as the victim’s neighbor. The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office responded to an assault in the 26200 block of 473rd Drive NE at approximately 8:40 p.m. After shooting the TV, the suspect retreated outside and hid in bushes.

One of the occupants went outside to confront the suspect, who allegedly fired off three more rounds and fled in a vehicle. There were no injuries at the victim’s residence.
