Marysville, Tulalip, Silvana firefighters respond to storage unit fire

MARYSVILLE — At 7:56 a.m. on Jan. 23, the Marysville Fire District responded to the scene of a storage facility located at 6902 27th Ave. NE.

MARYSVILLE — At 7:56 a.m. on Jan. 23, the Marysville Fire District responded to the scene of a storage facility located at 6902 27th Ave. NE.

Emergency response units arriving found a 28-foot by 40-foot detached storage structure with heavy smoke and flames visible.

Four engine companies, three aid units, one ladder company, and two command and support units were called to the scene. Approximately 23 emergency crew members responded. One firefighter injury was reported. The firefighter was transported to the hospital for a back injury, but has already been released.

Mutual aid was provided by the Tulalip and Silvana fire districts. Damage to the structure was extensive, and the dollar loss as a result of the fire remains undetermined.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s Office and has yet to be determined.
