The Snohomish County Affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) announces the startup of a NAMI Connections support group — this is a bi-weekly recovery support group for people living with a mental illness.

Those attending the group learn from each other’s experiences, share coping strategies and offer each other encouragement and understanding. If you are a consumer of mental health services, this free, peer-run support group can help you overcome the day-to-day struggles and triumphs of living with a mental illness.

The group will be meeting on Wednesday, twice a month, 6:30 — 8:30 p.m. in downtown Everett – the first meeting will be taking place, Wednesday, Nov. 2.  For more information about the group call 425-339-3620.
