Arlington’s Ian Frye was among those honored by the annual awards banquet for the Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Sciences, which gave $585,100 to deserving veterinary students and faculty.

Frye received the Johnson C. Hays Endowed Scholarship, given to a member of the Avian, Exotic and Zoo Medicine Club. He is the son of Lee Ann and Timothy Frye, also of Arlington.

“OSU veterinary students graduate owing an average of approximately $117,000 in education loans,” said Dr. Chris Ross, associate dean of academic affairs. “We are extremely grateful to our donors, who continue to support OSU’s veterinary medicine program, allowing us to award these scholarships, to help ease that financial burden.”
