A 25-year-old Stanwood man was arrested for his involvement in what authorities are calling a home invasion robbery in Arlington.
SEATTLE — A tobacco products distributor in New Mexico has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for his role in a contraband cigarette conspiracy that involved the Blue Stilly Smoke Shop in Arlington.
A U.S. District judge also sentence Matthew M. Cunningham to three years of supervised release and ordered him to pay $21,545,000 in restitution for his role in a scheme to sell untaxed cigarettes to Blue Stilly.
GRANITE FALLS — A 22-year-old Arlington man was critically injured after he lost control of his vehicle and hit a pole and a tree.
The man, who had four passengers in the 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse, was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle shortly after the crash, which was reported just after 2:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3 in the 4400 block of Robe Menzel Road in Granite Falls.
ARLINGTON — Fans of corn should plan on checking out the Red Rooster Festival’s Old Fashion Corn Festival.
The event, in its first year, takes place on Friday, Sept. 3 through Monday, Sept. 6 at Garden Treasurers Nursery & Organic Farm and Foster’s Produce and Corn Maze in off State Route 530 in Arlington.

ARLINGTON — A 32-year-old Arlington woman died Thursday, Aug. 26, after the car she was driving crossed the center line and struck a Ford truck head one, according to authorities.
