Preliminary results for Aug. 6 primary election released

In the race for Snohomish County Council District 1, results as of 8 p.m. on Aug. 6 show Ken Klein had received 4,772 votes (31.38 percent), Bill Blake received 4,357 votes (28.65 percent), Gary Wright received 3,685 votes (24.23 percent), Carsten Mullin received 1,414 votes (9.30 percent), Sean Olson received 905 votes (5.95 percent) and write-in received 75 votes (0.49 percent).

In the race for Arlington City Council Position 7, Jan Schuette received 869 votes (46.77 percent), Mike Hopson received 535 votes (28.79 percent), Scott Keith received 428 votes (23.04 percent) and write-in received 26 votes (1.40 percent).

In the race for Lakewood School District Director District 1, Oscar Escalante received 570 votes (40.51 percent), Michael Blank received 545 votes (38.73 percent), Lionel (Pete) Espinoza received 279 votes (19.83 percent) and write-in received 13 votes (0.92 percent).

The Arlington Transportation Benefit District received 1,140 “Approved” votes (65.90 percent) and 590 “Reject” votes (34.10 percent).
