WWU Dean’s List

Winter 2008 Dean’s List at Eastern Washington University.

Arlington: Amy Wagner, Mary Forrey, Susan Bradford, Phillip Roy. Darrington: Becky Nations. Stanwood: Jacob Furney, Heather Brandt, Kimberly Vervair.

Gonzaga University

Brianna E. Brooks, from Arlington, was named to the President’s list and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration. Students must earn a 3.7 or better grade-point average to earn the President’s list.

WWU Honor Roll and Degrees

Western Washington University releases the names of the 2008 Winter Quarter honor roll and degree recipients.

Arlington Honor Roll: Kristin Lee Burkepile, Tabitha Anne Englebright, Tinnel Nicole Hillis, Jodie Lee Lashbrook, Cahlen Riley Lee, Michael Andrew Leonard, Luke Daniel Mattson, MacKenzie Jo Tanguay, Elliot Bruce Wargo.

Arlington graduates: Steven Michael Britton, BS in Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management; Diane Christine Taylor, BA in Anthropology; Michelle Renee Walker, BA in American Cultural Studies.

Scholarships at WSU

Two Arlington students have been awarded scholarships at Washington State University for the 2008-2009 academic year. Jessica L. Frable, a 2005 Arlington High School graduate, has received a $1,000 Ruth and Fred Schroeder Class of 1921 Scholarship for her academic achievements and interest in business. She won the WSU Business Club Case Competition this year. She is also an active member of the Beta Alpha Psi sorority and the Residence Hall Association.

Frable plans on graduating from WSU in December of 2008 with a degree in accounting. She is the daughter of Joan and Glenn Frable of Stanwood.

Shun-Yi Tsang, a 2006 Arlington High School graduate, received a $1,000 Elvine Lindahl Smith Memorial Scholarship for her academic excellence. She is also a member of the National Society of Minorities in Hospitality.

Tsang plans on graduating from WSU in 2010 with degrees in accounting and hospitality business management. She is the daughter of Amy Petterson of Arlington.

WSU Spring Graduates

EWU Spring Dean’s List

Students from Arlington who made the Spring Dean’s List at Eastern Washington University are Susan Bradford, Mary Forrey, Ryan Jones, Phillip Roy and Amy Wagner.

Georgetown University Dean’s List

Emmett Sapp of Darrington was named to the Spring Semester 2008 Dean’s List.

Sapp received Second Honors, with a GPA of 3.7 or above on a 4.0 scale. “Reaching the Dean’s List at Georgetown is a distinct accomplishment, and I congratulate these students for this honor,” said Georgetown University President John J. DeGioia.
