ARLINGTON — Emergency management officials will be holding a town hall meeting Sept. 28 to discuss the H1N1 virus.

Residents are encouraged to bring their questions about the virus to the meeting, which takes place at the Haller Middle School commons.

“The goal of this is to allow people to meet face-to-face with city leaders and ask questions that they may have,” said Chris Badger, emergency management coordinator for the city of Arlington, Arlington School District and Cascade Valley Hospital.

Officials will give an overview of the flu, also known as swine flu, with up-to-date information.

Representatives from all three city agencies — the school district, city and hospital — be also discuss what they are doing to minimize the impact of an H1N1 outbreak.

“We hope that it alleviates that sense of fear,” Badger said. “If we’re out there with information, people will be more comfortable.”

Haller Middle School is located at 600 E. First St., Arlington.
