• The Marysville Police Department needs volunteers to help fight crime in its Marysville Volunteer Program. Get First Aid and CPR training and learn how to use the police radio. Volunteers must pass a background check, get fingerprinted and be able to physically perform the duties as required. Arlington

• Take a Vet to Lunch Saturday, Sept. 13, 5 – 8 p.m., at the Assembly of God Church, 201 N. Stillaguamish Ave., Arlington. Looking for businesses to host tables, volunteers to assist in the lunch and local talent to entertain. Contact Bob Rawe, 360-629-5054 or bobsoutback@verizon.net.

• Volunteers needed at Arlington Kids’ Kloset (Old Arlington High School) supplies local children with two wardrobes a year (fall and summer), along with new shoes, socks, underwear, personal products and school supplies. Give one or two hours a week on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Help is needed sorting, washing, displaying shelves, office work and fundraising, some can be done at home, like laundry or mending. • Volunteers needed for United Way’s Days of Caring on Sept. 12 or 13.
