A wind advisory will go in effect from 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 21, to noon on Tuesday, Nov. 22, for Everett and the surrounding area.

The National Weather Service in Seattle issued the wind advisory for anticipated south winds of 20-30 miles per hour, with gusts to 45 miles per hour.

Potential impacts could include the snapping of small tree branches, the toppling of small or shallow-rooted trees, or local power outages.

Wind advisories are issued for sustained winds of 30-39 miles per hour or if gusts of 45-57 miles per hour are likely.

High winds are likely along the Washington coast and in the Northwest interior from this Monday evening through Tuesday morning, as a strong frontal system moves through the region. Windy conditions are also expected across the Puget Sound region and the Southwest interior of Western Washington.
