Charles E. Arnold

Charles E. “Chuck” Arnold, 69, of Arlington, Wash., passed away peacefully at home Jan. 19, 2010. He was born July 19, 1940 in Broadus, Mont., to Alva H. and Marie Arnold and moved to Anaconda, Mont. where he lived from 1942-1958.

After graduating from Anaconda High in 1958 Chuck joined the U.S. Navy where he served through 1962 becoming an electrician. He remained a electrician until his retirement in 2001.

Chuck met his loving wife of 41 years, Elizabeth “Betty” Hovik in 1967 while both were attending computer schooling and were married August 17, 1968.

They have resided in Bryant, Wash., since and lovingly raised their five children and became proud grandparents of six grandchildren.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Betty; brother, John; sister, Cledis; sons, Kevin and Chad; daughters, Michelle, Rosie, and Beth; and grandchildren, Kayla, Bailey, Sean, Colby, Emily, and Kaleb.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Rose Sealy; as well as brothers-in-law, Robert and Kenneth; and sister-in-law, Colleen.

A celebration of life is planned for 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at the Bryant Grange Hall.
