Cyrene Elizabeth Savage

After a year-long courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, Cyrene Elizabeth Savage, of Marysville, Wash., passed away peacefully on Sept. 30, 2007, at her home in Marysville, surrounded by her loving family. Cyrene was born on May 7, 1935, to Alger and Helen Hilse.
Cyrene is survived by her husband of 53 years, Charles Savage; children, Lorri Savage, David (Kathy) Savage, Brian (Joyce) Savage, and LeAnne Savage; grandchildren, Ryan, Kayla, Kelsey, Haley, Anthony and Andrew; great-grandchildren, Kaeden, Kennadi, Kendyl and Ty; brothers and sisters, Yvonne (Chuck) Newman, Pat (Duane) Allerdice, Marilyn (Harold) Brenner, Linda (Ron) Larson, Al (Donna) Hilse, and Bob (Nancy) Hilse; all of her husbands family members; and very special friends including, Anne and Maurice Nestby.
Cyrene was preceded in death by her mother; father; and brother, Paul.
Cyrene was a happy homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an avid sports fan with a strong passion for the Mariners and the Seahawks. Cyrene loved to camp by the beaches in Washington, and also enjoyed many special Reno trips with her parents and sisters.
The family would like to thank the staff at Providence Hospice for the tremendous care and moral support.
To celebrate her life, an open house was held from 3 – 5 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at Ken Baxter Senior Community Center, Marysville, Wash. A private burial will be held for the family at a later date.
