Dorothy Nadine Blount passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, March 12, 2007, at Providence Hospital in Everett, Wash., after complications of pneumonia. Many family members were at her side at the time of her death.
She was born in Ector, Texas, on July 29, 1928.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C.R. Blount.
She is survived by siblings, G.W. (Elizabeth) Binion and Guy (Ruth) Binion, of Bonham, Texas, and Leona Teel, of Savoy, Texas; her daughter, Verdell Birdsell (Gerald), of Marysville, Wash., and Nemia Rucker, of San Diego, Calif.; sons, Beal Blount, of Everett, Wash., Dwayne Blount (Kristy), of Camano Island, Wash., and Burl Blount (Linda), of Snohomish, Wash.; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was laid to rest at Floral Hills Cemetery in Lynnwood, Wash., next to her husband. Graveside services were held there at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 21, 2007.
