Edward Joseph Drabb

Edward Joseph Drabb Sr., 72, passed away Oct. 26, 2006, in Arlington, Wash.
Ed was born July 25, 1934, in Trenton, N.J.
After high school he was employed by New Jersey Bell as a Switchman in Mount Holly, N.J. Ed and his family moved to Alaska in 1960 when Ed went to work for RCA. From 1960 to 1975 he worked as a Communications Manager for the Ballistic Missile Early Warning site at Clear, Alaska. He then spent two years as a construction supervisor on the Alaska Oil Pipeline.
In 1977 Ed moved to Lynnwood, Wash., where he went to work for General Telephone. He remained with GTE until his retirement in 1993. Ed was loved by friends and family from all over the country and he will be missed.
Ed is survived by his wife of 50 years, Maureen. He is also survived by sister, Kitty Mule, and brother, Al Grove, of Morrisville, Penn.; children, Ed Jr. and his wife, Celia; Lee Scott and his wife, Linda; Eric Drabb and Patti Nylund of San Diego, Calif., daughter, Daneen Burrow, of Capitan, New Mexico; grandchildren, Jessica Williams, Riley and Shea Drabb and John, Danielle and Angel Derum; and great-granddaughter, Kalieah Witherbee.
There was a family graveside service and internment at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 3, at Floral Hills Cemetery, Lynnwood, Wash.
