Edwin Greenawalt Harmon

Edwin Ed Greenawalt Harmon, 64, of Lake Stevens, Wash., passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007.
He was born in Coaldale, Penn., on Oct. 26, 1942, to Edwin W. and Elizabeth Harmon.
Ed served in the Air Force for eight years in the Minuteman Missile Program. He worked as a mechanic in the aviation and farm equipment fields, ending his career with 18 years at Goodrich, in Everett, Wash., as a quality control inspector.
Ed was a real car enthusiast, owning many cars over the years and treating himself to a V12 Mercedes sports car for retirement.
He loved music, especially Dixieland, and spent his spare hours listening to all styles of music. With a recent purchase of a motorhome his plans were to continue traveling with his wife as both had a passion to see North America. His favorite pastime was tinkering on his cars and many other projects in his large garage.
He is survived by his wife, Helen of 40 years (who just retired after 18 years at Providence Everett Medical Center); his two sisters-in-law, Katharine (Delmar) Stevens and Marion Folkmann; a nephew, Michael Stevens; a niece, Karen (Michael) Stevens-Bulls; and a grand nephew, Jack.
His parents preceded him in death.
A Memorial Service was held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home, Marysville, Wash. Inurement will be in Marysville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society for Breast Cancer Research, American Heart Association or a favorite charity.
