Gertrude Juanita Dale

Gertrude Juanita Dale, 82, of Marysville, Wash., died Dec. 5, 2006, at home in Marysville.
She was born May 22, 1924, in McAlester, Okla., to George and Gertie (Skelton) Cook. Her family moved from Oklahoma to California in 1937.
She met and married Glenn Dale in 1944 while he was in the Army Air Corps. In 1955, she, Glenn and the children moved to Marysville. Nita lived in the same home for 50 years. The first 18 years in Washington, she worked as a waitress at the B&M Restaurant in Marysville. Nitas outgoing nature and tireless work ethic naturally drew people to her. Nita was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter No. 1500 and served in many capacities in support of the Lodges fundraisers to benefit the community. One of her favorite functions was to supervise the clubs annual Thanksgiving dinners offered free to the general public.
She is survived by her children, Gary (Sundy) Dale, Dennis (Jane) Dale and Sharon Schank, all of Marysville; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of her life was held from 2 – 5 p.m., Monday, Dec. 11, at the American Legion Hall located at 115 Cedar in Marysville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Snohomish County or a favorite charity.
