Girlean Lola Fox

The Lord welcomed Girlean Iola Fox to heaven on Oct. 23, 2006 after she left this earth.
Girlean (Shuler) Fox was born May 22, 1921 to Fate and Ethel Shuler in Sylva, N.C.
On Nov. 5, 1939 she married the love of her life, James Ed Fox. The couple moved to Darrington, Wash. in 1947 with their two children Kenneth and Edolean.
Girlean was a great cook and gardener and enjoyed canning. She looked forward to family gatherings and will always be remembered for her great musical talents. Girlean was always humming or singing and loved to be surrounded by family members. She never shied away from people and was always ready to give a listening ear, a shoulder to lean on and a loving embrace. Those who had the pleasure of meeting her are truly blessed. She was a beautiful woman whose smile was infectious and laughter heartfelt. She was a woman of many talents and strengths. Her time on earth was long, but still too short for those who loved her.
Girlean was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Gartrell (Jim), her two sisters, Agnes Crawford and Alice Hathaway and her loving son Kenneth Fox.
She is survived by her husband Ed Fox, her daughter, Edolean Greenleaf, her brothers, Weldon Shuler and Paul Shuler and sisters, Sue Aldridge and Ernestine Jones. She also left behind six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 30, 2006 at the First Baptist Church in Darrington.
