Helen Marie Willits

Helen Marie (Johnson) Willits, of Everett, Wash., passed away peacefully on May 10, 2007.
Helen was born on Nov. 17, 1929, in Williston, N.D., to parents, David and Johanna Spangler, the family moved to the Everett area in 1934, when Helen was five. She attended Everett public schools.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Earl and Robert; sister, Laura; and her husbands, Russell Johnson and Donald Willits.
Helen is survived by her sons, Wayne, of Everett, Larry (Pam), of Marysville, Wash., Mark (Delores), of Tulalip, Wash., Brian (Judy), of Arlington, Wash.; daughter, Cathy Hammond (Steve), of Marysville; step-children, Robert Willits, of Idaho and Deann Alexander, of Marysville; granddaughters, Michelle Johnson, of Phoenix, Ariz., Dawn Johnson, of Marysville, and Christina Johnson, of Arlington; grandsons, Christopher Johnson, of Everett, Dustin Alexander, of Marysville; and great-granddaughter, Areya Zugish; her brothers, Ralph, of Snohomish, Wash., Roy (Wyla), of Seattle, Wash., Ed (Jeanette), of Everett; and sisters, Ruth Lee, of Pacifica, Calif., Agnes (Wallace) Greetan, of Auburn, Wash., Doris (Frank) Schatzer, of Lacey, Wash. and Sharon (Peter) Zambokus, of Pacifica; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held at a later time.
At her request, there was a celebration of her life, from 1 – 4 p.m., Saturday, May 19, 2007, with open house held at Larry and Pams house in Marysville.
Remembrances are suggested to the Snohomish County Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
