John C. DeVore, 64, of Marysville, Wash., went peacefully to be with his heavenly father on April 19, 2007, after a long illness with his family at his side at his home.
John was born June 29, 1942, to Norman and Anne DeVore in Bremerton, Wash. John served in the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Katie DeVore; six children, Tami, Shawn, Lisa, Jason, Linda and Daryl; 12 grandchildren; three brothers, Norm, Ron and Mark; and one sister, Iris.
John was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters Lorraine, Patty and Becky.
A Celebration of Life was held at 1 p.m., Friday, April 27, at Marysville First Assembly Church, a reception immediately followed.
The family wishes to give a special thank you to Dr. Ronald Feltner of Marysville for years of compassionate care, and Dr. James Leverenz and staff of the Alzheimers Disease Research Center in Seattle.
