John Henry Campbell, 96, of Marysville, Wash., went to join his love, Dollie, on Jan. 28, 2007.
He was born in Merrill, Wis., to Loral and Edith Campbell.
It was there he met Dollie Brandt, they were married Nov. 3, 1931. In 1938, they moved to Marysville, with their four daughters, Darlene, Nancy, Barbara and Sharon. Dad and Mom celebrated 73 years together before her passing on Nov. 30, 2004.
Our dad worked for Scott Paper Company for 30 years before retiring in 1972. Dad was a quiet gentle man, honest and hard working, with a delightful sense of humor. He loved the outdoors, listening to music and was an avid square dancer. He loved traveling and family gatherings.
Dad was a devoted family man and is survived by his daughters, Darlene Scott, of Marysville, Barbara Greer (Curt), of Marysville, and Sharon Campbell (Charly), of Costa Mesa, Calif.; son-in-law, Jack Perrault, of Granite Falls, Wash.; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Dad is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends; and his constant canine companion, BJ.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dollie; daughter, Nancy; and grandchildren, Dallas, Stacey, Matthew, and Janice.
We would like to specially thank Dads care givers, Eileen, Jackie, Rosanne, Marvin and Encar, for their devoted care which enabled him to remain in his home.
