Loyal Donald Don Covey, died in his home on Nov. 29, 2006, surrounded by family.
Don was born in Seattle, Wash., March 7, 1924, and was a graduate of Franklin High. He loved sports of all kinds and playing the piano and organ.
In 1942 he entered the Army and served in Hawaii. He studied mechanical engineering and spent most of his career in the fire sprinkler business. Even up to his death, he continued to work on jobs for Cosco Fire Protection.
In 1958, he married Joan Burke and became a wonderful father to daughters, Karin, Jamie and Sue. He was a giving person who helped many in need including foster son, Steve. He is fondly remembered by his family, coworkers, and friends.
A celebration of Dons life is planned for 3 p.m., Dec. 17, at Gleneagle Golf Course Clubhouse, Arlington, Wash. Inquiries may be emailed to sruscha@hotmail.com.
