Mary was born in Winslow, Ariz., on April 1, 1923 (no foolin), and grew up in Douglas, Ariz. She eventually moved to San Diego, Calif., where she met her husband Leo in 1943. Mary and Leo were married in 1944. They moved to Kansas where Leo began working at Boeing Aircraft Co. and they started their family.
Her husbands work brought them to Washington state. Mary was a very devoted stay-at-home mother until 1968. After moving to Washington from Kansas, she went back to work to help support her 10 children. She found work as a caregiver at the Josephinum in Seattle, Wash., where she retired to travel and care for her husband, Leo.
After her husbands death in 1989, she traveled abroad to England, Wales and Ireland, and then to Mexico. Her hobbies included bingo, blackjack, cribbage and sharing time with her grandkids. In Marys last years she was cared for lovingly by the wonderful staff of doctors, nurses, caregivers and her beautician at The Bethany at Pacific.
