Mary Louise Taylor

Mary Louise Taylor Wicks, 86, of Arlington, Wash., died Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, at Life Care Center in Mount Vernon, Wash.
She was born on Oct. 6, 1921, in South Bend, Ind., the daughter of Benton and Virginia (Ballsworth) Taylor.
Mary met and married Don Wicks. She was a devoted mother and homemaker.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Don; son-in-law, James Ossenkop; grandson, Patrick Ossenkop, brother, Benton W. Taylor, Jr.; and sister, Beatrice Henning.
She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Norman C. and Virginia Hiler of Anacortes, Wash.; Edward R. Howard of Arlington; daughters and son-in-law, Cynthia G. Ossenkop of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Ann and Art Mesford of Anacortes; grandchildren, Victoria Ossenkop Pink of Milwauke, Wis., Stephen Ossenkop of Iowa City, Iowa, Danny Curran of Coeur dAlene, Idaho, Penny Curran of Mt. Vernon, Mike Curran of Anacortes, Cathy Curran/Lavine of Anacortes, Gerald Hiler of Gillete, Wyo., Alex Howard and Sam Howard of Arlington; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Margie Farmer of Florida; nieces, Marilyn and Sandy Taylor of Aberdeen, Wash.; and nephew, Fred Taylor of Olympia, Wash.
A graveside service was held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007 at Fernhill Cemetery in Anacortes, with Pastor Jim Hardy officiating.
