Oley Edward Christy

Oley was born January 13, 1913, in Missouri, to Mike and Mabel Christy.
He passed away March 20, 2007 in Arlington, Wash., of natural causes.
Oley moved to California in the early 30s, where he met Oria Heiter, and they married in 1936.
While living in California, Oley was a heavy machine operator. Oley and his family moved to Everett, Wash., in June 1951. He went to work for Sound View Pulp and Paper Company, later he changed to Scott Paper Company in July 1951, where he worked until retirement in 1976, as a millwright.
Before Oleys retirement if he wasnt at work he could be found working on cars. In the 60s and 70s he had a race car that he raced at the dirt track in Monroe, Wash. Oley also had a love for hunting. After his retirement Oley became an avid fisherman and would help anyone who would ask for it.
Oley is survived by his sister, Dorothy Schultz of Chicago, Ill.; brothers, Herman of Virginia and Marvin of California; children, Dorris Stubben of Marysville, Wash., Donald (Denise) Christy of Oklahoma, Dixie (Troy) Ford of Arizona and Delbert (Rhonda) Christy of Texas; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
His mother and father, wife, son, Eddie, two brothers and two sisters preceded Oley in death.
