Pamela Rae Foster

Pamela Foster, born May 5, 1948, passed away at her home of nearly 40 years, on Nov. 9, 2007, after a six-year courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
Pam is survived by her husband, Bill; children, Scott Hagerman and Angela Rae Hagerman (Michelle); brother, Del Frojen; and of course her puppies, Walker and Emma Lou.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roger Frojen and Pearl Frojen.
Pam was raised in Marysville, Wash., and in 1971 moved to Lake Stevens, Wash., where she lived until her passing.
Pam was a person of many interests, but if it involved the outdoors, it was her favorite. She hiked, biked, skied, rode horseback, roller bladed, snowmobiled, waterskied, boated, gardened and golfed.
Pam loved to entertain and had a flair for creating the perfect table, the perfect food and perfect setting for her guests. But nothing was more important to Pam than her cherished property on the Chewuch River, just outside of Winthrop, Wash. Regardless of whether it was summer or winter, Pam could spend hours looking out over the river, soaking in the solitude or toiling in her garden there.
Although she was most at home outdoors, in the next minute you would find her in that sexy black dress on her way to the Nutcracker. She was truly a person of so many talents. The best indication of the type of person that was Pam is the many people who called her friend. Young or old, male or female, it made no difference. Pam had the gift of opening her heart, offering her counsel, or just being there when needed.
Pam faced her illness with courage that could not be matched. Not once did she complain, choosing instead to live her life to the fullest.
Special thanks are extended to Pams very close friends who provided a great amount of support and assistance.
Thanks are also extended to the staff of Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, the University of Washington physicians and staff who provided top rate medical care and Providence Hospice of Snohomish County.
A memorial service will be held on Nov. 24, 2007, at 11:30 a.m., at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Marysville, followed by a reception at the Everett Golf and Country Club.
In lieu of flowers, please provide a donation in Pamelas name to either the Marcia Rivken Center for Ovarian Cancer Research or Gildas Club Seattle.
Pam may be gone from this world, but her memory and spirit will live forever.
Those who knew her were truly blessed to have known such an outstanding person. She feared nothing, accepted challenges, cherished her friends, loved life, and shared wisdom.
