Patricia Pat F

Patricia Pat F. Hill returned to our Lord and Savior on Nov. 30, in Marysville, Wash., following a two-year struggle with colon cancer. She left this world peacefully, at home, with her daughters at her side.
Pat was born on Easter Sunday, April 13, 1941, to Frances M. and John R. McAneny in Milwaukee, Wis. She grew up in Wisconsin, moving later to Minnesota, Iowa and eventually to California, where she attended St. Anthonys Catholic High School in Long Beach. She graduated in 1956.
Pat married Martin P. Hill in 1963. They were divorced after nine years of marriage. She raised her daughters on her own, always supportive of their academic and extra-curricular activities including sports and marching band.
Moving to Marysville in 1999 to be near her children and grandchildren, Pat became active in St. Marys Parish. She was also a member of Sunnyside Improvement Club.
Pat will be remembered as a loving mother and sister, a devoted grandmother, a loyal friend and a true believer in the Lord, Jesus Christ. She was a playful spirit with a quick wit and charming sense of humor. Her sacrifices and love will never be forgotten.
She is survived by two daughters, Loretta Lori M. Gunter and Christine Chris M. Ingram; a son-in-law, David H. Gunter; three grandchildren, Daniel P. Ingram, Devin P. Gunter and Alexander R. Gunter; his sister, Marinell Cochran; brother, Peter McAneny and six nieces and nephews.
Her memorial service was held at St. Marys in Marysville on Dec. 3, at 1 p.m. Friends and family were invited to attend this celebration of a life well lived.
In the hopes of finding a cure for others, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, gifts be made to the American Cancer Society in Pats name.
