Rodney Dewain Keeler

Rodney D. Keeler passed away peacefully on Oct. 24, 2007, following complications from Parkinsons disease, at Providence Hospital.
He was born in Roseau, Minn., to Earl and Ella Keeler on June 4, 1924.
Rodney grew up in Warroad, Minn., served in World War II and later moved to Everett, Wash.
He worked for Scott Paper for 30 years, and was very involved in his Union.
Rodney enjoyed his family and wintering in Arizona, where he golfed almost every day and even got a hole in one. He also enjoyed working on the farm and most of all fishing and hunting. Rodney was a wonderful man, husband, father, brother, uncle and honey papa. He was full of energy, life and love. Rodney was the best man ever, he had so much to live for and so much to be proud of.
Rod lived a wonderful life with his loving wife, Ursula Keeler, of 28 years. They enjoyed going to Banks Lake, Barkley Sound and Mar Don Resort together fishing and camping.
Rodney was very loved and cared for by his family and friends.
He leaves behind his wife, Ursula Keeler; his two daughters, Marilyn Bullock (Bob) and Carolyn Keith (Jim); three sons, Tim Hansen (Patti), Jeff Battien (Eileen) and Eric Hansen (Lisa); six granddaughters, Michelle Battien, Sarah Battien, Heather Hansen, Hailey Hansen, Dani Keith and Stephanie Lyon; three grandsons, Kevin Parsons, Chris Bullock and Cole Hansen; two great-granddaughters and three great-grandsons; two nieces, Vicky Rose and Edie Haasing.
He will be greatly missed, forever loved and always in our hearts.
Celebration of life service was held at 4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Marysville, Wash., a reception followed.
