Rodney Jon Martin

Rodney J. Martin, 59, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord with wife, Nancy, by his side on Oct. 27, 2007, at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle, Wash.
Ron was born Sept. 24, 1948, to Leonard and Laina Martin in Everett, Wash. Rodney lived in the Snohomish/Marysville Wash., area all of his life.
Rodney graduated from Snohomish High School in 1967, and went into sheet metal apprenticeship at Seattle Community College. After a career in sheet metal, he founded his own business of custom sheet metal work for Metal Tiling.
While attending Snohomish High School, he met the love of his life, Nancy Zemple. They married on Dec. 13, 1968 and enjoyed 38 years together.
Rodney leaves behind his wife, Nancy; children, Jon Martin, Greg (Wendy) Martin, Jennifer Emery and Jeremy Osbourn (Courtney); father, Leonard Martin; and sisters, Pam Martin (Stewart) and Merry (Bill) Fischer; father and mother-in-law, Eugene and MaryJane Hayfield; seven grandchildren, Jammi, Kate, Kain, Klayton, Sophia, Haylei and Hunter; as well as many other family members.
Rodney was preceded in death by his mother, Laina Martin; and infant twin grandsons, Casey and Ryan Martin.
Donations can be made in Rodneys name to the Marysville Church of the Nazarene, The Scleroderma Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
A celebration of his love for the Lord and his life was held at 5 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007, at the Marysville Church of the Nazarene.
