Viola Vi Aungst

Viola Vi Aungst, 86, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, at Home Place Special Care in Burlington, Wash.
She was born Feb. 19, 1921, in Antlers, Okla., the daughter of Charles and Ivy (Moore) Floyd.
Vi was married to Paul Aungst on Nov. 4, 1940 in Clarington, Texas and they celebrated 60 years together until his passing in 2000. They resided in Lyman for many years until moving to the Snohomish area in 1969, returning to Mount Vernon, Wash., in 1993. For the past three years of her life, she resided at Where The Heart Is, in Burlington.
Vi worked at Stokely Van Camps for over 25 years and she later sold real estate for many years. She was a really good seamstress, an artist, a reader and enjoyed camping and traveling, especially traveling to Elizabethtown, Penn., with Paul over the years to visit family and friends.
Vi attended the Church of Christ.
Vi will be remembered as being a wonderful wife, mom, grandmother and that she loved people.
Vi is survived by her children, Larry Aungst and his wife, Joyce, of Sedro-Woolley, Wash., Patricia Kreiger, of Mount Vernon, Wash., Steven Aungst and his wife, Debra, of Tacoma, Wash., Nancy Peterson and her husband, Jeff, of Mount Vernon, and Tim Aungst and his wife, Vicki, of Arlington, Wash.; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and an uncle, Earl Floyd, of Waterville, Wash..
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul; two sisters, Edna and Lee; and a brother, Cecil.
Memorial Services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, at the Mount Vernon Church of Christ located at 901 S. 12th.
