We’d like to thank everyone who emailed in their opinion to the Backseat Coach question – “Do we cover prep sports too much?” The answer was a resounding “No.” The vote was 61-3. Readers appreciate that we put in the newspaper more sports information than our competitors. They also appreciate our large selection of photos we run online. Some wanted us to cover sports even more, which would be impossible as it already sometimes takes up half the paper.

However we did find that many readers would like to see more on our local arts. We already advance every Red Curtain play, thanks to their PR staff, so we take that to mean high school arts. So we hope you prep thespian directors are taking note and will let us know when you have a play coming up. It is good to know that the Marysville and Arlington communities still enjoy reading about high school sports, even if they don’t have kids involved in them.

While we appreciate that you enjoy this newspaper we want to let you know that we offer much more online.

•An online calendar lets you know what’s going on in your community. And you can add your on listings to that calendar for free.

•Stories online often are more in-depth. And some stories appear online that don’t even make the paper.

•Stories online often have more photographs, especially sports stories.
