2 divers excel for Marysville

SWIMMING

Two M-P divers placed second and third and two from MG fifth and sixth at the Wesco 3A District Championships at Snohomish.

Sophomore Devon Keator was second with 300.5 points and junior Kelsey Harris third with 266.6. Sophie Alt was fifth with 245.4 and sophomore Anjolie Galang sixth with 216.45. Junior Emma Keator was 10th with 150.9.

Two relay teams from M-P advanced to the finals.

The 200-yard medley relay team placed 8th in the prelims. The team consists of Alexis Bennett, Maddy Sulya, Katelyn Leary and Cassidy O’Neal.

The 200 free relay also made the finals, again placing eighth. The same four swimmers are on that team.

In the 100 butterfly, Leary just missed the finals, finishing ninth.

And for Marysville Getchell, in the 100 backstroke, Isabella Bennett just missed the finals, placing 10th.

In the finals, M-P’s relay team was eighth; Leary was ninth in the 100 butterfly and 11th in the 200 medley; M-P was 10th in the 400 free relay; MG was 11th in the 200 medley relay,
