3 locals in District 3A softball playoffs in Everett Tuesday; Lakewood starts Wednesday

All four local high school softball teams begin district playoff action this week.

Tuesday, at Phil Johnson Fields in Everett, Marysville Getchell will go against crosstown rival Marysville-Pilchuck in a first-round game in the double elimination tournament. Arlington will play against Everett in another 3A District 1 game.

Win or lose, all the teams will play a second-round game right after at 7 p.m.

The 2A District 1/2 tournament doesn’t start until Wednesday at Janicki Fields.

Lakewood will play its first game at 4 p.m. against Cedarcrest. Win or lose, the Cougars will play again that evening.
