ARC run for scholarships

Husband and wife finishers Will and Lorraine Miller, of Marysville, each placed first in their age groups in the Arlington Runners Clubs second annual Gleneagle Community Fun Run for Dollars for Scholars June 9. About 75 runners and walkers braved the rain and raised almost $1,000 for the local scholarship fund. The run started at Pioneer Elementary School and meandered through Gleneagle area, and golf-course community resident Jack Shouman whos son is a former NCAA 3:50 miler, escorted the pack of runners on his motorcycle.

Overall winners: First place in 5K Luke Passalacqua, 18:17, of Arlington
