The Arlington Eagles battled to a 2-1 victory over Camas Saturday to capture the 2013 4A State Championship.
Led by senior pitcher Ronnie Ladines, who had 14 strikeouts in the championship game, the Eagles allowed only one run during the entire state tournament, shutting out their first three opponents. On May 24, the first day of play at the tournament, Arlington blanked South Kitsap, 4-0, then moved on to pummel Todd Beamer 12-0. This morning, the Lady Eagles defeated Richland, 6-0, to move on to the championship game against Camas.
