Lakewood boys cruise to victory

LAKEWOOD – The Cougars cruised to a 75-46 win over Nooksack Valley in a 2A home boys basketball game Thursday night.

Lakewood jumped out to a 22-5 first-quarter lead and never looked back as 10 players scored.

Alex Jensen had 14 points, Kaiden Harrison and Jared Taylor scored 12 each, and Michai Harris and Morgan Stacey added 11 apiece for Lakewood (10-3, 6-1 Northwest Conference).

Other scoring: Sergiy Nelson 5, Alex Coleman and Jackson Schultz 3 each, and Spencer Neiffer and Ethan Saxton 2 apiece.
