M-P diver continues to excel

Andrew Kallio of Marysville-Pilchuck won the Wesco district diving title last weekend.

In the 1-meter competition, he scored 442.55 points. Eric Davydenko of Marysville Getchell was fourth with 403.4 points. Also, Eduard Naumchik of M-P was eighth and Nathan Huh-Orrantia of MG ninth.

Meanwhile, Kallio and Ian Meetsma, both of M-P, each won events, but Everett beat M-P 104-63 and MG 110-55 last Thursday in boys swimming.

Meetsma won the 200-yard freestyle in 1 minute, 56.89 seconds. Andrew Christensen of MG was third. Meetsma also was second in the 100 free.

Kallio won the diving with 234.05 points. Naumchik was third.

M-P was third in the 200 medley relay with Jose Anderson, Luke Pusateri, Jayden Boyle and Ian Meetsma just missing second place by less than a second.

Kameron Wilkes of MG was third in the 50 free, and MG was third in the 200 free relay.
