The Arlington girls basketball team lost a key league match against the Everett Seagulls Dec. 19. The Eagles will be fighting with Everett all season for a spot in the 3A playoffs and could have made a big impression in the two teams first meeting. Instead they got burned by Everetts relentless pressure defense and lost 59-42.
Four members of the Elite Underground gym of Darrington spent a week in November competing at the National Weightlifting Championships in Anaheim, Calif.
LAKEWOOD The Lakewood Cougars boys basketball team struggled with transition defense during their 83-56 loss to the Cedarcrest Red Wolves on Dec. 18. The Cougars came out of the gate hot, dominating most of the first quarter, before falling victim to a big Cedarcrest run.
