The Eagles hosted the Bearcats on Thursday, Sept. 19, winning 5-2 and showing that No. 1 singles player — senior Trent Sarver — will be tough to beat this season.
The Lady Cougars had two Cascade Conference victories early in the season and remained undefeated after sweeping Granite Falls at home on Thursday, Sept. 19, 3-0.

The Arlington Eagles hit the road for their second game of the year on Friday, Sept. 13, in Oak Harbor, for a close game that ended up unlucky for the Eagles on Friday the 13th.
The Lady Eagles won their first match of the season on Monday, Sept. 16, in a non-league competition against Redmond.

Arlington and Lakewood cross country competes at the Sun Dodger Invite at noon and Arlington will also compete at the Sehome Invitational at 10 a.m.

It’s time for the Eagles’ volleyball season to begin and with a number of returning varsity athletes plus a crop of talented newcomers, expectations are set high for this season.
It is Washington’s fourth year offering mountain biking to high school and middle school students and while the season doesn’t start until January, local student riders are already gearing up for the 2014 mountain bike season by getting involved in community events, trail work and, of course, riding with friends.
As school begins again, so too do high school sports, and the Arlington girls soccer team is gearing up for the season — new and improved.
The Lady Cougars are returning to the court for their first week of volleyball practice, and even in a non-competitive practice match they are focused, skilled and working together to communicate for what they hope will be a successful season.
