Sarah Hegna, a 2003 Arlington High School graduate, participated in the NCAA West Regionals May 26-27. She competed in the pole vault and her best vault of 1211 1/2 earlier this year ranks second in Eastern Washington University school history. She placed second at the Big Sky Conference Championships. At regionals Sarah jumped 126 and placed 14th overall.

United States Youth Volleyball

Registration for United States Youth Volleyball spring 2007 league is almost over. The eight-week league takes place in Marysville at Allen Creek Elementary School. It will run on Wednesdays from 6-7 p.m. and Saturdays from 10-11 a.m. beginning June 6. The volleyball league offers a co-ed format for boys and girls ages 7-14. Highland Christian School boys golf

After a season of posting a perfect record in League, winning the League Championship and taking second at District to LaConner, Highland Christian School boys golf finished fourth in State for the 1B/2B bracket. Craig Crawford the returning State Champion finished in second place to Life Christians Andrew Putnum a senior and a three time state champion who has accepted a full-ride scholarship to Pepperdine University. Crawford, a sophomore, fought valiantly but could not make up a five-stroke deficit going into the final round. Jon Enge and Alex Witt, both juniors, finished ninth and twenty-fifth respectively.
