Basketball Tourney in Lake Stevens
WTA is hosting the 2nd Annual Lake Stevens Christmas Festival basketball tournament Dec. 28-30 at Lake Stevens High School. The tourney is open to all boys and girls teams grades 4-9. The cost is $265 per team and is a five game guarantee. To sign up or get more information contact 425-744-1860.
Northwest Baseball Academy now enrolling
Northwest Baseball Academy is now enrolling for January, February and March weekend baseball camps for ages 8-13. City recreational volleyball

Darrington smokes Mount Vernon Christian
The Darrington Logger boys basketball team crushed Mount Vernon Christian in a league game 85-40 on Friday Dec. 14.
The Loggers got scoring contributions from every player on their roster, including a heavy dose from their bench. Cory Hoveskeland led all scorers with 19 points, Justin ODell right behind him with 18. Skye Schillhammer addd 14 and Mike Parris chipped in 11. The Loggers made a strong statement following their only defeat of the season to LaConner, rebounding with a blowout win.
You hope that you can play at a high level in a game like that, said Coach Bryson. For the most part we did. Its good to see that everybody on the roster scored. We had a couple of guys make their first varsity points. It was a great way to bounce back.
