Stilly Valley juniors softball team defeats Marysville all-stars

The Stilly Valley juniors softball team defeated the Marysville all-stars 12-2 on June 30 at Quake Field to represent the first district in the juniors state softball tournament at Kirkland’s Everest Park. That tournament begins July 18

The Stilly Valley juniors softball team defeated the Marysville all-stars 12-2 on June 30 at Quake Field to represent the first district in the juniors state softball tournament at Kirkland’s Everest Park. That tournament begins July 18, with Stilly Valley taking on the winner of the District 11 tournament. The team is made up of Allison Hammond, Samantha Weaver, Grace McWatters, Marisa Rathert, Kayla Mashburn, Kristin Backstrom, Hayden Fields, Katelynn Kazen, Hayley Fields, Amy Revelle, Syvannah Cram, Bailey Hoag and Brittany Bovard. The manager is Allen Backstrom and coaches Darrel Hammond and Brian Fields.
