Undefeated Arlington volleyballers need a win Thursday at M-P to make state

ARLINGTON – The Eagles girls volleyball team continued its amazing season beating Lynnwood 3-0 in the first round of the 3A Northwest District Tournament.

Arlington next plays Ferndale Thursday at 7 p.m. at Marysville-Pilchuck High School. If it wins it advances to state and plays in the title game Saturday at 1 p.m. If it loses, it would need to win Saturday at 11 a.m. to advance.

Against Lynnwood, Arlington moved to 15-0 on the season, winning 25-11, 25-14 and 25-15.

Ariana Bilby had 15 kills, 13 digs, 3 assists, 3 service aces and 2 blocks. Emily Mekelburg added 9 kills, 4 aces and 6 digs. Teagan Sutherland had 3 aces and 2 blocks. Reese Talbot and Julia Parra had 4 kills each. Taylor Pederson had 24 assists and 2 aces.
